Dishwasher Thief review

(h)ear!
January 2005
by John Barrios

While perhaps the Minor Thirds' most "produced" record to date, this cd still captures the raw authenticity of their craft. Employing everyone who could make it to the recording session, and using only acoustic instruments (only the recording device and mics were plugged in), Chris Piuma et al bring to life a record on par with a "best of" short story collection. Highlights are the beautiful stand-up bass, Chris' delicate vocal performance, and the Ethereal Choir of Vengeance and the Pick-Up Ensemble of Righteousness. Moments of pure beauty lead into moments of pure insanity. This is a milestone performance by one of Portland's most under-appreciated bands.
