The Minor Thirds

Friday, November 5, 2004

Last night we did a benefit show for the IPRC, which is a great independent publishing resource center here in Portland. They're quintessentially Portland.

We were hoping to do a fun and cheery set but we ended up doing some angry political songs instead go figure. Even some songs that aren't terribly political managed to feel relevant ("Reno" and "Chickens" in particular). We did soften the mood a bit by playing one of the new and incredibly sappy songs we've been working on.

The Maybe Happening, the guy from Reclinerland, and Wow & Flutter played as well, and it was a very fun and friendly show. Hopefully some pictures of us in sweatervests will be available shortly.

In Saskatchewan news: They became the seventh province to approve gay marriage today. Oregon was one of eleven states that banned it on Tuesday. Just, you know, FYI.

1. Reno
2. The Revolutionary's Love Song
3. Just Once
4. Chickens
5. Shit City
6. Welcome To The Occultation
7. Artichoke
8. The Thousand Nights And One Night
